Perugia in a few pictures

This picture of the little shop Strangers Corner is for my dear friend Carmelleta....it's her kinda shop, with all kinds of beads and jewelry from around the world.
Then, the NIKE shop! how could I resist.
The steps were a sunny warmish place to sit and people watch even though it was cold, but since it was a Sunday, many people were out and about in the square without car traffic.
Another sunny spot, so very ItalianThis is what the house looked like when we left at 8am to take me to the bus, it had snowed during the night, but was pretty much melted by that evening according the David.

hey sis, trapped in Italia, so good to hear about the seven paintings. Hope you can bring some home with you. Where do you go after Paris? Somewhere warm? Happy T-day. WE are so grateful that there is good news in the news now and then. xoxox It seems the world doesn't want the O-man to be hiring former torture artists--good idea. xoxox mm

Hi Gretchen,
Happy Thanksgiving! We are going to Bill's sister in N. Scottsdale for dinner. I'm making a dish called "sort of Sephardic sweet potatoes and squash." Butternut squash, Yams, dried cherries, and Walnuts. Very simple and very good. They are mad sales mania type folks, very enthusiastic and sweet but all the same . . . It is hard to relate.
It rained here last night, the first rain in 90 days so everything is fresh and serene this morning. It will be cooler today than the 80+ degree weather we've had up until this week.

As to politics: we need such a sea change in this country that I am really hoping the promise of a "new" start in January can further turn the country's mind set. Not easy but possible I think, and we have a start!

You look cold in that hotel room in Perugia! Hope it's not too bad and that you found someplace else to stay that was better. I imagine Italy is best in summer . . . although the beauty of the place is inspiring. Are you going to Venice?

Maybe France will be more comfortable. Take care and hope your feet are not giving you fits. When do you think you will return to the US?

Have a good day. I love your photos.
