Election Day
The pictures: Claudia making artichokes and pasta, now that really honestly didn't sound like it would be all that good. But then, these are ITALIAN artichokes, much more tender, you eat the peeled plant, stalk too, mixed with garlic, olive oil, herbs and parmesan, how could you go wrong?
The arm chair in the living room is Claudia's resting spot, looking into the dining area which is part of the kitchen. Then the view from my room, including the little YELLOW Fiat I will be driving. My room, and a picture of me.....haven't figured out how to use the delayed timer yet, so this is the best I could do of a self portrait in my window.
Tonight I am fixing a meatloaf dinner so that David and I can stay up all night and watch the election results. Tomorrow I'll have a picture of David going crazy with delight when we KNOW that Obama has won. So, off to drive UP the VERY STEEP driveway for the first time and go to the butcher in San Ginesio. Ciao.

MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmm. I love Italian food. I am sort of glad the food in Buenos Aires is not as good as Italy or I would not stop overeating. Ever.
This was our best election day ever - at least in my memory. It was just so thrilling - took my breath away.
I drove around Europe in a Fiat for a month a long long time ago - 1959 to be exact. The car sounded like a sewing machine on wheels but did the job. Take care.

You look lovely in green. The Italian countryside becomes you--we're mad with happiness here--as if all the loonie mean people had been marched into the sea, and for just now, the happy kind people can trust and hope and envision a future of creative innovative generous citizens working to save our planet. Burque is drunk with joy at going blue. WE can breathe again. mm
