FINALLY, I am painting...........YEAH

This is just a beginning.................but a good one. I spend all day yesterday holed up in my room, feeling really inspired by the pictures I took and the sensation I had up on the top of the Sibillinis which are a part of the Apennine Mountains. I can DO this with acrylic paint and it felt so good to be doing it. I don't want to worry too much about the outcome just yet. Claudia was so happy she is already thinking about where to exhibit.

Hooray, you are painting. Congrats. Marc is here now and says "hi". He returns to Portland tomorrow, unfortunately for both of us.

Hi Gretchen,
I am so glad to see that you are painting. I like the image very much, and recieving inspiration from the mountain is also metaphorically cool :-)

We just took down the Homecoming art show for the year. A lot of work but worth it. Then there was a big homecoming bash last Friday night with a pianist AND a DJ and I danced more than I have in several years.

Everything here is going well. We are having a beautiful autumn--it's in the eighties, but cool and clear at night. I don't know if I told you but Andi and Ruben came two weeks ago and we visited Canyon deChelly. It was fantastically beautiful and if I can ever get you to come back to AZ, we'll go there. I think you'd like it.

Take good care,
Judy
