A jaunt to Calderola on a sunny Sunday

It is not clear at all how to load these images, but I just have to charge ahead! After an exhaustive search on the internet David found a bus route from this place, not very far from home to Florence via Perugia, Siena and it only takes 3 1/2 hours and costs 21 euros, much better than the train. So we went to Calderola this morning for an outing even though I am not up for much walking and Claudia is still coughing way too much. So we "parked" at the local bar for a coffee while David and Zoe climbed up to the top of the town and discovered several building worth seeing when we are up for it. Still it is sunny almost every day, even though the air is cool. This seems to be very unusual for Italy in November. So many people were out for the after church time on a Sunday in the square. Drinking coffee, having wine, playing hide and seek, taking pictures....Zoe leaves this evening at 8pm.

Beautiful pictures. It was 70 degrees here this AM when I went for a wonderful walk with Lena, my houseguest. Had a huge party last Saturday, 30 to 50 people. It was fun but physically taxing. Good food. I baked a 3 1/2 pound slab of salmon with Old Bay seasoning which vanished in 10 minutes.

Enjoy.
Hugs,
Laura

I missed reading the last few days. Who is Zoe? The blgs look lovely--ITAlY LOOKS LIKE fun--any more interest in the Canary Islands? Paris, then? When do Bo and Heidi arrive? week 1 in Dec? sounds like you're relaxing in--Claudia's health was bound to be a problem. I can sympathize . . .with all. xoxoox m

The mountains are spectacular! I can just almost see them in paint! Also the town.
You should get your book in a few days. I will have to wait until after the party to make up a box for you. in the meantime, write me what sort of things you like. I find myself at sea about other people's book tastes! try my blog acadbury.blogspot.com
